What is happening in New Zealand

When my husband and I heard the news that Dore in recievership or what ever I assumed that this would apply to New Zealand as well if Australia was effected. I finally go throught to Dore NZ today and they tell me that they are privately owned and are open as usual for business. This is all very bizzare as I had already come up with a cunning plan, and that was to carry on untill the 16 to 18month mark (another 4 months) and then finish. We have the book we are presently working on and another book that we managed to retain some how, so thought I would repeat these. I really feel that all is not lost, there is still the ability for those who are only partway through the programme to carry on and attain benefit (especially is Dore are going to provide the exercies). This web site has a wealth of knowledge to assist people going it alone and if we all share this knowledge it will work. The only thing that is missing are the the results from a machine (while quite frankly I found somewhat dodgey, too many variables for my liking), what really counts it wether you are seeing benefit or not. Mentals need to start when the exercises are becoming easier and more challenge is required, and there are many of us out there that can assist with with answering questions to the best of our abilities. Programmes seldom go on longer than18ths so this could be the time limit to aim for. There can be no harm in repeating books and there must be many out there with books from the various stages of the programme? We will now need to be better cheer leaders and supporters of each other! I suggest that if you are going to carry on that it would be counterproductive to tell the children that Dore has gone under as if they are anything like my son he would grab at anything that meant he did not have to do exercises. I am sure there are exstaff out there that will disagree with what I am saying but the fact is tha people have two choices 1. to carry on the best they can or 2. stop the programme. So I say lets pool knowledge and resources and keep going. Love DebH

Re: What is happening in New Zealand

Hi Debbie, I just joined DoreTalk to talk to you because I wrote almost the same message to the person who sent the email advising everyone of the situation this morning. As I was trying to sign in the system suddenly gave me a message saying the my "name" had been taken, so I tried several times again even adding numerals to my chosen name and got the same message. Then surprisingly, I had a password in my email with the original name that I had chosen. I tell you this because if this website goes down, we will have no way to contact each other. I personally do not know one other person who is doing the Dore program, although I have told Many people about it. My email address is ***REMOVED FOR SAFETY*** if you want to contact me. My grandchild is 14 and he has been in the program since October last year and as I believe you mentioned, my boy is difficult to get to do the exercises also. I hope this website stays up because it is excellent with all of the research, testimonials, etc. in it. Merilee, San Jose, California

     Merilee,

If this board goes down, there's a back-up run by parents, I'd suggest bookmarking it now & pass it on on any other Dore groups or websites you use.
