    Angry [:@] Exercise Problem

Hi, can anyone help me with a exercise please?. It's a Triangle Exercise ( sitting on a ball ll ). Sit on a large ball with one foot off the floor, move your upper body only, to make a circle in the air with your head horizontally, continue for 30 seconds and then repeat in opposite direction. Now make the circles in the air with your head vertically, continue for 30 seconds then repeat in opposite direction. I think i've got the horizontal bit, but don't understand the vertical bit?. I have e-mailed Dore in the Caribbean, and they have tried to help me, by the way, they said, if anyone needs help to e-mail them. Hope someone can help me Thanks Dave

    Re: Exercise Problem

We've had this one. It's hard to describe but I'll try my best. Imagine you've got a pencil on your nose and you have to draw a circle in front of you , not moving your head round on its own but moving your upper body to draw the circle. I don't know if this will make sense. If not I'll try to think of a different way to describe it if I can.

    Re: Exercise Problem

Hi there - exercise XG - know it well!!! - very very confusing - drove me crazy trying to figure it out - was very frustrated when I couldn't explain it to my daughter...

It's very hard to picture so go sit on the ball and follow these instructions...

It's easier if you cross  the leg you are to lift  over the one you are keeping on the floor, while you get the exercise sorted.....

So you are sitting on the ball with one leg on the floor and one crossed at 90 degrees to it. (ie. sit like a bold macho-man)

Then picture that pencil on your nose (brilliant imagery) but picture it sticking out horizontally as if your nose is the nose of a plane and the pencil is the needle (radar thingy?)extending from it.

Moving the upper part of your body from the waist in a west-east circular direction draw a circle with that pencil in mid-air.

Next time moving the upper part of your body from the waist in a north-south stretch draw a circle with that pencil in mid-air.

Keep you head still, focus on drawing the circles and move your waist - shoulder area (think latin dance moves)

Try and do it with a leg held up rather than crossed (may take a couple of days to automatise this).

Sorry to be so weird in my descriptions - but the exercise is a brute because you have to do the movement to 'get it'.

Do you have a webcam??????  If you would like a demo, call us at Dore Caribbean any time between noon and 10 pm UK time tomorrow (we are 5 hours behind you).  Or email us again but this time with your phone number and we will call you right back and talk you through it while you are doing it.

    Re: Exercise Problem

Hi All, Think this will help if you've not already spotted it.

There is now a link on the main Dore page to MyDore. Once registered, with your Dore PIN number and some basic info, you get a copy of all your exercises plus 2 extra for each group. Each exercise has a mini video showing the exercise being done and instructions with it (so need speakers on). These are nice and clear and infact might been nice accopanyment from the start, i'm doing the exercises on my own so have struggled with most, even had to get my friends daughter to demonstrate a couple!

    Hope this helps.
