Hi Anne Marie as Lelly said I did not see any real big changes in my daughter Leila until she commenced the mental tasks. Before that it was just little things like eating with a knife and fork instead of a spoon, doing up her own buttons. I always say look for the little things first, ones we are apt to miss because we did not even realise were part of our childrens problems.
Up until 7 months into her treatment, I saw nothing but then I had no expectations of what I was supposed to see, it was all new to us and we did not have the forums then. We just plodded along the two of us day in, day out. Once she reached the mental tasks it was nearly 3 months in when over night she started talking about a holiday we had 2 years before, would have gone unnoticed except that I realised Leila never talked about our holidays or even what had happened yesterday. Made me realise that something major had occurred in my daughter she now had a short term as well as long term memory. That was the turning point for her and we never looked back. After that all of her problem issues started to disappear and she became the teenager she is today.
What are your sons issues Anne - Marie that sent you to Dore, we can help you through this, you have faith which is half the battle, Dore will take care of the rest. Ellie XXX
