re adults who have completed programe

I am interested in hearing from others about their stories and how they have found the programme. I am about to embark on the journey and wil be having an assessment at a Dore centre soon. How easy is it to fit in the exercises each day? Look forward to meeting you

    Hi angelic charm

Welcome to the forum. I was one on the very first guinea pigs for Dore, so the programme has come along way since then (8 years ago). It is fairly easy to fit the exercises into your daily routine. I found that the best way to do this was to stick to similar times for doing the exercises. For example in the morning i'd just wake ten minutes earlier and do them before breakfast and the second session I would do after returning from school.

Some of the exercises are a little strange and can make you tired, however that is when you know that they are working.

I hope this helps a little.

Good luck & all the best

    Rose

Like Rosem said it is planning a routine so you can plan yourself each day, the exercises are not like at the gym they are structured so you do the majority at an even pace to get the full benefit.

As they start to work you will notice the changes developing and it will give you the motivation to carry on. The 6 weekly assessments are really helpful as you can see regularly how you are doing and what you have to work on makes all the difference.

I do feel envious when adults post about their experiences I so much need Dore but Kieran comes first my time will come later. Ellie XXX

    Hi

Thank you for your replies. It sounds motivating. I noticed that one of you are from the Channel Islands. I may be moving to the Channel Islands soon. How did you fit in visiting a Dore Centre whilst living in the Channel Islands.

Hello angelic charm I started my excersises about a month ago now and was surprised how easy it was to stick to them. Routine is the key, first thing in the morning and just after work, gets a bit tricky at weekends if i'm out and about but usually manage to fit them in. Living on my own it was a big issue for me but like most things it was the anticipation that was the problem not the dooing. I am evaluating as I go and have been amazed at some of the things I have found - like is it possible to throw and catch a bean bag with your eyes closed? Why cant I balance if I shake my head whilst walking and how come I never noticed this in 35 years? There have been no adverse effects so far as I have noticed yet, one strage thing is I have noticed that i am mixing up my numbers and letters now - I am finding that passwords I have had for years I am regularily entering wrong - may be it has reset an area I have been compensating for mentally in order to correct it, I'll quiz the team when I get my 1st evaluation at the end of the month. Good luck with the excercises and keep us posted on progress.
Its no fun if its to easy!
