Embarrassed [:$] Day1 - and all is well!

Hello all, Today I set out on the daunting marathon of DORE. Like Al in the earlier post I'm older (36) and am keen to talk through the whole experiance with you all as we go. It will be interesting to hear all your tales and hopefully be able to feed back my experiances. Any tips on motivation will be greatly appreciated (I know its only day 1 but I dont have parents to make me do it

Well done Dan on starting Dore the beauty of Dore is you can benefit from any age can't wait for my turn to come!!!! motivation can be difficult when there is only you to keep yourself going. The only thing I can say is will power and the drive to want to sort your problems out once and for all. As an adult you will notice the changes more acutely then a child does and will develop a lot quicker.

One motivation is to realise that as you progress the things you used to find difficult suddenly seem easier and you feel more attuned to the world around you. Of course the forum can also be a place to come and get the help of all of us to keep you going.

Good luck and keep us posted Dan on how you are doing your progress will aid me in the future. Ellie XXX

Well done Dan - I wish you luck. It will be nice to hear about the changes you experience as you go along. As a parent of a 10 year old, it is not always clear!

Re: Day1 - and all is well!

Thanks for the encouragment, day 2 now and I now its early days but I am plesantly supprised at how little it has taken to complete - suppose I was making mountains out of mole hills. Been finding a few funnies already and have started to keep a log, trying to find somewhere to post it as a blog (is there somewhere on here I havent found yet, I use computers all day but am not very proficient ont' interweb), just numb head and headache in my temple and fuzzy feeling for a wee while afterwards. Would be interesting to find if anyone else has had similar experiances. Anyway I have notes of what the excersises were (the dore number and description) and my feelings as noted imediatley after and any comments i feel pertinant when I go to do my next set. So I'll keep a record of them and hopefully find a place to post them and share and learn with everyone.

Good luck Dan. I look forward to hearing how you get on. If you go to Wynfords blog, I believe you will find a link to start your own.

Hi Dan great to have an adult on board and willing to share his progress. A few of us mums use Blogger.com here https://www.blogger.com/start

it's really easy to use -our blogs are on the main page side panel.

Big Smile [:D] Day5 - and the first weekend went well

Thanks lelly I'll have a look tonight (my works computer blocks that site) and see if I can find my way in. Tip of the week..... Make a copy of your excercise book for when you lose it! (Thankfully the nice staff at DORE will email you a new one).
