    Trampoline

My son has a new friend who has a trampoline, he has been bouncing nearly every day for a week in short bursts. I also bouhgt him a pogo stick. Both are recommended by his OT therapist. We have noticed that this last week he seems to ha ve regressed with his hearing, mishearing things again and processing slowly. We are hoping that this will lead on to an progression. Should he be bouncing on the trampoline, or is this regression coincidental?

Funny you should mention that Lesley before Kieran commenced Dore they advised me to let him do swimming and trampolining as much as possiable as it would benefit him in the long run when he started the exercises.

Seems to me the proof is in the pudding and can only help in the long run, Kieran still uses our friends trampoline next door, so all I can say Mathew is keep bouncing!!!! Ellie XXX

It must be the weather for it, I hadn't realised it was beneficial.  ALthough I have stopped her using it just before we do exercises as she really seems to struggle when she's just been bouncing.

Why is it recommended to bounce??

I am not sure accept could it be to do with co-ordination as you have to conciously think and endeavour to keep up right and straight on the trampoline? maybe a question for an expert, I never thought to ask when I was told originally. Ellie XXX
