    Re: Brain Gym

Hi Rash There are a number of differences between the exercises Brain Gym offer and Dore's exercises. Firstly those people who use Brain Gym don't ever see someone to help them with what they are struggling with. Brain Gym is simply literature based and people have to follow the exercises through a series of books. Whereas with the Dore Programme people that they help come back to their nearest centre evry 6 to 8 weeks to be re- assessed and they are then given individualised exercises just for them, which are selected depending on the development of the cerebellum. Secondly everyone who uses brain gym does the same exercises. The Dore Programme exercises is tailored to fit the needs of each person Dore sees. Thirdly, the Dore Programme uses scientific technology to measure peoples' abilities to assess the development of the cerebellum (the area of the brain which is responsible for the way we learn) and how the brain is functioning. I hope this helps a little If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask All the best Rose

    Re: Brain Gym

We would like to clear up some inaccuracies in this comment from Rosem about the Brain Gym® program, also known as Educational Kinesiology (Edu-K). There are many Licensed Brain Gym® Consultants and Instructors around the world who have undertaken extensive training. As well as teaching Brain Gym classes, they see clients privately; using the Brain Gym processes to work with specific areas of need. Whilst there are a couple of books that explain the Brain Gym movements, they are not designed to be the only experience of the movements, and in fact these books are intended to be a resource as a pre- or post- Brain Gym Instructor/Consultant experience. The Brain Gym program has a number of movements and is tailored to fit individual needs. Brain Gym is a whole-brain, movement-based learning approach.

    Re: Brain Gym

It also seems to me that all the differences RoseM just described about BrainGym are no longer valid. They all had to do with visits to centres and being tested. If this is no longer happening and the exercises are just coming from "myDore" surely this negates all the differences you've just talked about. It seems to me that there is very little difference for those people in Aust, UK or US now.
